Toronto, ON, February 9th, 2018: MissionFest Toronto (MFT) has transitioned and is ready to re-emerge in 2018. The organization’s Executive Director, Sharon Ganesh, has stepped down after 7 years at the helm and overseeing five conferences. Ganesh, who has worked for the ministry for eleven years, tendered her resignation at the end of October 2017. She is returning to the private sector to offer support services through her events / project management company KASAworks!. Sharon said she has enjoyed working and serving the organization for a period of eleven years, adding that it is time for her to move on and embark upon new opportunities that the Good Lord has set before her. “Working with MissionFest has been such an incredible privilege – being able to contribute my talents, investing in the lives of others, developing beautiful working relationships with staff, board members, the management team, and volunteers as well as forging fruitful relations with supporters of MissionFest,” said Ganesh. Responding to the change, the MFT chair, Sam Tita said that the organization is grateful for Sharon Ganesh’s many years of service, wishing her the best in her new endeavors. The chair added that under her leadership, the organization delivered in its vision for serving and supporting its members through the annual conference and operational leadership excellence revealing that she will continue to be involved with MFT on a project basis. Taking over the mantle is Wayne Hinds who leaves the board of directors after 9 years to become the interim Executive Director. Wayne led the transition team during the period when the organization had suspended its operation in 2015. “With a mandate to re-establish MissionFest Toronto’s viability,  he surveyed the ministry’s 4,000 supporters on how it can better serve its partners and constituents, helping to develop a ”way forward plan“ with a renewed vision for serving and supporting the mission community,” said the chair while welcoming the interim Executive Director in the new position. Wayne has already stepped down to accept the position and will start by  improving partnership collaboration and ministry relations development, while executing the “way forward plan”.   About MissionFest Toronto MissionFest Toronto is an incorporated not-for-profit charitable organization founded in 1995 by a committee of mission and church leaders who endeavoured to start a movement resulting in a large scale annual missions conference encouraging and engaging people of all ages in the work of ‘missions’. You Are Invited to Join Missions Prayer Network

By |April 16th, 2018|Categories: news|0 Comments

Join us in partnership as we pray for Mission(s) together James 5:16 The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. Prayer is a key to ensuring the successful vision and purpose for MissionFest. The calling for every Christian in whatever sphere of influence that God has placed them; be it in the home, workplace, schools, creative arts, government, marketplace, church or in the various destinations of missions is to be fueled and connected through prayer. We desire to establish a team of dedicated individuals that have a heart to intercede on behalf of prayer in Missions. We will be having monthly meetings at various locations to creatively join those interested to learn and pray, worship and pray, hear and pray, and also to partner and pray. We believe that God accomplishes His will when His believers begin to partner with Him in prayer and action. We will begin to initiate a link between the many prayer networks that have already been established to see transformation begin to occur for those on various assignments on the mission field of choice. The Nations are waiting for those that are willing to partner with God in this Kingdom work of transformation by kneeling before him in heart and spirit.
